About Us

Hi, I’m Esme. With over 30 years in cosmetic development, I’ve had the opportunity to help build some of the most well-known beauty brands in the world. I started my career as a cosmetic chemist, working hands-on in the lab, developing formulas that would later hit the shelves of top retailers. Over time, I moved into leadership roles, overseeing R&D and innovation for global beauty brands before opening my own manufacturing facility and laboratory.

Throughout my career, I’ve been involved in every step of product creation, from developing high-performance formulations to leading teams and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in beauty. I’ve served as Vice President of R&D at Cosmetic Essence, Inc., and was honored to be part of the Executive Committee for the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.

But beyond the brands and the titles, my story starts in El Salvador, where I was born. When I moved to the U.S. as a child, I felt an overwhelming sense of freedom—like I could do anything I set my mind to. And I did. After years of helping bring other brands to life, I decided it was time to launch my own. Libertad Vida is incredibly personal to me. Libertad was the name of my childhood town, and “vida” means life. This brand represents my journey, my passion, and the freedom I felt when I first came to America.
